Jerry Abbott

Jerry Bob Abbott (born April 8, 1944) in Abilene, Texas, is a country music songwriter and record producer from Pantego, Texas. He is also the father of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott,[1] and Vinnie Paul Abbott, both of Pantera, Rebel Meets Rebel and Damageplan.[2]

Abbot appeared on Pantera's Behind the Music in May 2006, where he spoke about his younger son, Darrell, mostly about how he used to be in the Kiss Army as a child.

He was also the producer on the early Pantera albums Metal Magic (1983), Projects in the Jungle (1984), I Am the Night (1985) and Power Metal (1988). He produced Bugs Henderson Group's "Still Flying".[3]
